This is the second year that we have tie dyed shirts when Ellie has visited. They came out pretty good. This year's kit had me soak them in soda ash first. I don't know if I did this part correctly but it made the shirts pretty wet even after I squeezed them to wring out the water. Anyway, next year we will try another kit or maybe just use RIT dye so we won't have to worry about the soda ash.
Or just use sharpies!
