Disney Part 1- Days 1 and 2

I have already been slacking on my blog. It has been a CRAZY 3 weeks. Three weeks ago, I had workshops galore. Two weeks ago, we were in the most magical place and this past week I have been back to work and unpacking my entire classroom, since I had to change rooms this year- which is actually a great thing! The changing of rooms, I mean, not the unpacking. The unpacking stunk big time! I would like to go back to our most wonderful trip to see the mouse and princesses and chipmunks and....you get the picture.

Day 1 Travel Day- We arrived at our hotel 6:00 pm, after hitting some traffic in Orlando. We pulled up to Pop Century and were very excited. Mom, Laura, Grace, Dennis and Ellie were already there.

Day 2- Animal Kingdom

We got up nice and early, ate our Pop Tarts and granola bars and set off for our first day at the parks. Last time, we didn't get to spend a lot of time here, so most of it was new to us. The look on K's face when we saw characters (Pooh and Eeyore) for the first time was priceless, since she doesn't remember them from the last time we came when she was 18 months old. Laura and Dennis were at Guest Relations when we took this first photo in the Animal Kingdom. We were headed to Dinoland.

The kids' cousins were not able to come this time, so we pretended they were there with their "flats." Here they are outside of the ride Dinosaur. K did not reach height requirements so she stayed off. (It was quite frightening, also.)

We were able to see some animals up close and personal on the Kilamanjaro Safari. Steve did a great job as photographer.
More to come soon....
